Giant Trees & Tight Corners!
Duration: 1 day
Location: Humboldt County, CA
The Redwood National Forest is located in Humboldt County, Northern California, and is made up of several State and National Parks, totaling 51,222 acres.
There are plenty of places to hike and explore, but our main priorty was driving along the Avenue of the Giants: a 31-mile drive along the former Hwy 101, through the heart of the redwood forest. It’s a truly incredible drive that inspires the true meaning of awe!
We finished our trek at the world-famous Shrine Drive Thru tree in Myers Flat, near the south entrance of the Avenue of the Giants. Here you can walk, bike, or drive (at your own risk!) through a 7′ x 7′ hole in a massive redwood tree!
