Be More Socially Responsible With These Eco Conscious Companies
Eco-conscious companies make changes to the way they do business to conserve their environmental impact. Choosing to give these companies our business helps support the great work they’re doing. It’s also the socially responsible decision.
Socially responsibility is using our voice, and our dollars for the welfare of society and the environment. There are several amazing companies around the world creating new products and innovating new industries that are perfect for any Freedom Seeker!
Here are my favourite 15 eco-conscious ideas across 3 categories:
Apparel & Accessories
tentree is rooted in the belief that we have a responsibility to protect and preserve the world we live in, so all of their products are made from sustainable materials. But it gets better – for every article of clothing purchased, they’ll plant 10 trees! Tentree’s vision is to plant 1 billion trees by 2030, drastically reducing climate change. To-date, they’ve planted over 30 million trees and restored land in over 8 countries.
Looptworks re-purposes and upcycles abandoned materials into limited edition products. All the materials used to create Looptworks products at one time were headed to the landfill, or worse. They intercept and utilize these industry excess materials, upcycling them into new, useful products. In the process, limited natural resources are conserved and carbon emissions are reduced.
TOMS is the original One-for-One company, TOMS (short for Tomorrow’s Shoes) provides a new pair to a child in need for every pair sold. They now work with over 200 non-governmental and humanitarian organizations in 80 countries, developing new partnerships like TOMS Eyewear and TOMS Roasting Co®. These new ventures have expanded their ability to create a better tomorrow.

Goods & Services
4ocean pulls one pound of trash from the ocean and coastlines for every product purchased. Once the plastic is recovered, it gets sorted by type, color, and condition before being sent for washing, flaking and pelletizing. These pellets are what get used to manufacture new 4ocean products.
